Board Elections: Board elections are held for the East Bay Stonewall Democratic Club every two years. For 2020, the Board has put forth and recommends the following slate for the membership’s consideration and support. The Board will entertain a process for new Board members in the coming months. 

We propose the following slate for at-large Board members:

• Vice President - John Bauters
• Treasurer - George Perezvelez
• Secretary - James Chang
• Political Action Chair - Amy Fitzgerald.

Measure C: Alameda County Health and Child Care Initiative
If approved by voters, Measure C would create a half-cent sales tax, raising an estimated $150 million per year to provide expanded access to free and low-cost health care and emergency services in Alameda County at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital Oakland and improved access to affordable quality child care, prioritizing high-need families. The initiative would also fund quality improvements in child care and preschool programs offered in Alameda County and increase the wages of early childhood educators.

A vote to endorse of 60% of the general membership is required in order to win an endorsement from the club. Only club members who are registered on or before January 8, 2020 are eligible to vote, per the club bylaws.
